Introduction of Pro Kabaddi League

PKL: Pro Kabaddi League started on 26 July 2014 with 8 teams. The Pilot teams were:

Jaipur Pink Panthers – Based in Jaipur
U Mumba – Based in Mumbai
Bengal Warriors – Based in Kolkata
Bengaluru Bulls – Based in Bengaluru
Dabang Delhi KC – Based in Delhi
Puneri Paltan – Based in Pune, Maharashtra
Telugu Titans – Based in Hyderabad, Telangana
Patna Pirates – Based in Patna, Bihar

At first, people watched it just to pass the time when they were bored. But slowly, it turned into something they looked forward to every day, filled with excitement, emotions, and a strong connection to the game.

PKL 2025: Season 12

By 31st October 2025, the Pro Kabaddi League had grown to 12 teams competing in Season 12. Fans showed massive interest in the matches, especially on Jio Hotstar, where viewership kept climbing. The excitement peaked during the Season 12 Finals on 31st October 2025, with a record-breaking 1.3 to 1.5 crore people tuning in live to watch the action.

Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 Winner

In Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League, Dabang Delhi emerged as the champions once again, winning the PKL Champions trophy for the second time on 31st October 2025. Leading the team to victory was captain Ashu Malik, with Joginder Narwal as the head coach. Their teamwork and strategy played a big role in securing the win for 2nd time.
